Ministerial Standing Form
Please note - This (below) is the letter and information for 2025/2026 clergy standing renewal. Clergy can complete your Ministerial Standing Form at any time during the year. Links to complete the form are towards the bottom of the page.
Dear Ohio Clergy Colleagues and Friends,
As we prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and the start of a New Year, everyone serving on the Ohio Commission on Ministry is praying God’s grace and peace are felt abundantly by all of you. And with the transition from one liturgical year to the next, comes the time for us to do our part in assisting our Regional Church in completing its responsibility for reviewing and certifying the standing of all ordained ministers, commissioned ministers, and ordained ministerial partners serving in the Christian Church in Ohio.
New this year, thanks to our Commission on Ministry, Team 3 (Standing) is a shorter form for Retired -Inactive clergy in the Region. This new form is only to be used by retired clergy who are not engaged in any type of active ministry (including pulpit supply). This is Option 2 below. If you are engaged in any type of ministry please use the regular standard form (Option 1).
The process for Standing Renewal remains the same and takes only a short amount of time to complete. Please click the link below to get to the needed page to begin this quick and easy process. By submitting the Request for Standing form, you enable the Ohio Commission on Ministry to be better acquainted with you, your ministry, and keeping regional records up to date. Additionally, your standing request submissions are read pastorally, confidentially, prayerfully, and with the utmost respect by the members of Team 3. When your standing is certified for 2026, your name and address are listed in the Ministers Directory portion of the Annual Yearbook and Directory of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ.) We ask also, as part of your standing renewal process, to please include reviewing the "My Ministerial Code of Ethics” PDF and affirm its contents. Your willingness to comply with the Ministerial Code of Ethics will be indicated by your answer to a specific statement within the Standing Form.
LOGIN & PASSWORD INSTRUCTIONS
The Standing Form includes an individual "Login" and Password" (created by you) and offers the ability for you to manage personal updates—such as address changes, cell phone, email, etc.—at any time. Additionally, once you have completed the 2025 Request for Standing form information will be saved and available for resubmitting the Request for Standing form for following years to come.
After clicking on one of the Request for Standing links at the bottom of the page, you will notice the * symbols by the fields where information is required. This information must be filled out before you can move to the next page. Note: Under the "e-mail address" there is a "Password" required field. If you have completed this online form in the past, you will need to enter the email address and password you have used before. If you have not, then it will ask you to create a password.
Please complete and submit your Standing Renewal form ASAP, but no later than January 19th.
