Celebration of Steve Taylor and Camp Christian Work Day
Steve Taylor was Camp Superintendent at Camp Christian for twenty years, from 1977 to 1997. His hard work in maintaining the facilities and property and his dedication to the mission of the camp were exemplary. While Steve is no longer with us, his memory remains and we are taking a long-overdue chance to celebrate his gifts and honor his memory.
Befitting his dedication to all things practical and hands-on, the Christian Church in Ohio will host a celebration during the May 20th Camp Work Day, at 11 a.m. at the "pole barn” where Steve spent hours working. Family, friends, and former camp staff are invited to join us, hopefully for the entire work day which begins earlier, but certainly for the celebration at 11 a.m.
Wear your work clothes, again, as Steve would have it, and come honor the legacy of this dedicated servant of God.
For the work day, we will once again be hosting volunteers for a day of cleaning, repairing, and general preparation of Camp Christian in anticipation of the Summer Camp and Conference programs!
There are tasks suited for a wide range of ages and abilities. We hope you will join us!
