Purpose: To train a cadre of lay (non-clergy) preachers to fill pulpits in our Ohio churches either short term or long term.

Topics to be covered: Public speaking basics, how to do the preparation, where are the resources, the modern style of preaching, African American preaching, challenges of a female preacher, using multimedia, learning from great preachers, and much more.

Sponsored by the Regional Elders, this program will run Friday night through Saturday afternoon. There is also a “Saturday Only” option for those whose schedules may not allow for the full event. A more detailed schedule will be available closer to the event. Saturday meals are included. Registration deadline is April 13th.
