Totally Eclipsed! at Camp Christian!

On April 8th there will be a total eclipse moving right through Ohio. Camp Christian will be in the area of totality (The moon will completely block out the light of the sun.)
To celebrate, Camp Christian is having a retreat whose whole purpose is to share this once in a lifetime experience. As many schools will be closed on that Monday, this can be a whole family event.
Come on Sunday night and share in a campfire complete with s’mores and fellowship around the fire. On Monday morning we will share in breakfast and singing and lots of appropriate crafts and activities or free time as you want. After lunch there will be more free time but also a short workshop on camera settings for the event. Eyeglasses will be available for each person (who has signed up ahead of time) to protect their eyes. At around 3:08pm we will gather for the big event. It will be over by 3:30. Afterwards we can share in each other's experiences or have more free time and supper. The day will end with a short vespers service so everyone can get home before it gets too late.
In case of a cloudy day, we will watch the eclipse on the NASA channel in the Dining Hall.
There are lots of options for overnight accommodations for individuals and families. The lodge and cabins are available, as well as designated spots at Camp Christian for tents and RVs.
