First CC - KentFirst Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Kent, Ohio is Seeking a 3/4-Time Senior Pastor

First Christian Church of Kent is a welcoming, inclusive, and safe congregation—Open and Affirming and a Green Chalice church—committed to worship, outreach, and spiritual growth. For nearly 200 years, we've been a steady presence in the heart of one of Ohio's most vibrant college towns. Though our congregation is currently made up mostly of older, long-time members, we remain rooted in hospitality, community service, and intergenerational connection.

We're seeking a three-quarter-time (30 hours/week) Senior Pastor to partner with us in ministry. We recognize that reducing from a full-time position limits the scope of weekly responsibilities—and we fully support those boundaries. The congregation, staff, and lay leaders are deeply committed to partnering with our next pastor to discern and prioritize where those 30 hours of ministry can have the most impact.

We value Scripture-based worship, compassionate pastoral care, shared leadership, and a strong commitment to justice. We are blessed with strong ecumenical relationships and a supportive staff team, including an Associate Minister for Christian Education and Youth, a talented music team, and a professional office administrator.

Looking ahead, we are excited to grow in spirit, number, and diversity—especially by strengthening ties with younger generations, newcomers, and our broader community. We are also committed to expanding our justice work and building a sustainable, faithful future.

Learn more about us at www.firstchristiankent.org and follow us on Facebook: facebook.com/FCCKent, where we livestream worship every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

Kent is a dynamic, creative city with a thriving downtown, home to Kent State University, excellent schools, and a variety of local businesses and restaurants. Visit kentohio.gov and mainstreetkent.org to explore the community. We also partner with United Christian Ministries (myucm.org), an ecumenical campus ministry at KSU.

We look forward to welcoming a pastor who will walk with us in faith, love, and service.

First Christian Church of Mansfield is a church located in the heart of the city with a heart for its neighbors.  Our congregation continues to build off its historic past while seeking new and innovative ways to share the timeless good news of Christ within a fast changing world.   Our church is a vibrant congregation that has a number of community outreach ministries, like the monthly breakfasts that are regularly attended by low income families and individuals. Attendees at the breakfast consider Mansfield First Christian to be "their” church and the prayer requests from the breakfast attendees are included in the congregation's prayer list.  Many other low income individuals have been gifted a bicycle that gives them transportation to and from work. Worship services are provided at nursing homes in the area by members.  We have recently expanded our outreach efforts to partner with a local health clinic, an area agency which meets seniors needs, and an adult education program holding classes at our location four days a week.  We are seeking a pastor who can faithfully serve our congregation while also engaging with our wider community.

Medina - First CCFirst Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Medina, Ohio Now Seeking a Full-Time Senior Pastor

First Christian Church Medina is a Christ-centered congregation committed to guiding individuals on their journey to discover and follow Jesus. Our mission is to be a caring spiritual community that embraces a shared vision of Christian service while honoring the diverse ways people experience God.

To fulfill this mission, we strive to:

  • Proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ in our community.
  • Offer programs that nurture and support members of our congregation.
  • Provide our services and facilities in support of outreach to the poor, homeless, hungry, and those in need.

Our commitment to the Green Chalice initiative deepens our connection to God's creation and inspires us to care for the environment today and for future generations.

Looking ahead, we sense God calling us to expand our commitment to inclusion, hospitality, and intergenerational ministry.
